Have you been working on an exciting project but you are not entirely sure how to execute it?
Do you have great ideas but you are struggling to navigate through the complex system of grant applications which are ultimately preventing you from sending them in?
Or have you previously attempted to apply for funding but somehow ended up lost in translation?
Globe Art Point Grant Workshop is a first in a series of three workshops (Turku, Tampere, Jyväskylä) targeted at foreign-born arts and cultural professionals residing in Finland. Project is funded by TAIKE.
Turku workshop, free of charge, is organised by Globe Art Point in collaboration with Regional Dance Centre of Western Finland.
G.A.P’s aim is to bring together cultural workers with a strong experience in grant writing and budgeting who can share their expertise and tips on how to effectively strategise, communicate and develop art oriented projects with their colleagues and peers.
The enrolment form will allow the applicants to submit their project related questions that will be anonymously discussed during the workshop. However, please note that only a handful of the submitted questions will be chosen for discussion. The chosen questions selected by the workshop leaders will be carefully picked in order to benefit the majority of attendees.
Program
Approx. two hour long presentations will be followed by a two part Q&A session that will last approximately one hour. The first part of the session will focus on the questions submitted via the online enrolment system. The second part will be an open discussion during which the participants will be given the opportunity to ask further questions related either to the workshop or their own projects.
The event is free of charge, but it requires pre-registration.
